Arbitration Policies and Resources

The Board’s Arbitration Roster deals with Claims for commission between Broker of Record/Firms of the Eastern Regional Boards (“the Board”). The purpose of the Arbitration process is to provide Brokerage Members an inexpensive alternative to the courts to have disputes heard on a timely basis by fellow real estate professionals.

Eastern Regional Boards (ERB)

When there is a commission dispute, the Board encourages cooperation and communication between Brokers of Record. If a resolution cannot be reached between the parties, a Broker of Record can file an Arbitration Claim with the Board in accordance with the Arbitration and Professional Standards Policies.

The Arbitration and Professional Standards Policies, the Claim Form, and the Defence Form can be obtained below. The Claim Form and Defence Form provided below are digital forms that will be forwarded to the Professional Standards Department upon submission.

Questions, comments, and concerns can be sent to standards@oreb.ca.
