The Board’s Professional Standards Department works closely with the Professional Standards Roster (PSR) to reinforce and uphold strong standards, rules and practices for the real estate profession and to encourage and support cooperative engagement amongst the Membership.

The PSR accomplish their objectives by:

• Encouraging communication between salespeople, brokers, and sales teams from different brokerages. Many issues are misunderstandings or inadvertent mistakes and can be resolved with a quick conversation;
  
  
• Promoting professionalism by working with the Professional Standards Department to educate all Regional Board Members on Board rules, the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, and real estate sales best-practices;
  
  
• Ensuring accountability of all regional board’s membership by offering a straight-forward complaint process based on the principles of natural justice and due process; and
  
  
• Ensuring fairness for all parties involved in the complaint by removing Roster members who may have conflicts from the complaint process.
